Influence Interest Matrix
An Influence Interest Matrix is a means of working out the influence of stakeholder over the progress and direction of your project and then using this ranking and the attached chart decide what level of communication those stakeholders should receive during the life cycle of your project.
This matrix is usually constructed during a workshop as detailed in guidelines set-out in my “How to write a communications plan guide”. This guide points out that you are going to need a blank Influence Interest Matrix to project up onto the meeting wall so that you can stick to it yellow virtual “post-its” for each of your identified stakeholders. Look no further because this matrix is attached in Vision format complete with virtual “post-its”.
If you download this matrix and it was of use to you please comment on the blog especially if you have any suggestions as to how it could be improved.
